  "Future Inventory" is the dedicated page for managing incoming supply before it arrives — every purchase order, transfer, or other inbound quantity we're expecting, tracked by "Product", "Location", and "Expected Date". Future Inventory is a live, editable table and calendar of everything inbound, so a planning team doesn't need to track incoming purchase orders in a separate spreadsheet.

  In this video, we'll demonstrate how to search for incoming Future Inventory across multiple products, switch between "table" and "calendar" views, create a new "Future Inventory Record", and update an "Expected Date" — including how that change can affect shipments already allocated against it. As mentioned in a previous video, each Inventory Record row also has an "Actions" menu, with several options available:

  "View" opens a detailed breakdown of the record;

  "Edit" opens the same panel where we can update values;

  "Allocations" takes us to the "Shipments" page, pre-filtered to show every shipment this inventory has been allocated to;

Checking back on the shipments tied to this record, all three have automatically updated to the new "September 9th" date — this is exactly the behavior we'd expect, since KIBO keeps shipment dates in-sync with their future inventory automatically.

  Important Note: this assumes the new "Expected Date" falls within the preconfigured "Future Date Limit". If the new date falls outside of this, "Ship To Home" and "Delivery" shipments may be reassigned to a new location for fulfillment. "Pickup" shipments may be backordered, cancelled, or sent to Customer Care.
